Arizona and Nevada Trip

Last week, I returned home from my trip to Arizona and Nevada. My husband and I primarily wanted to see the south rim of The Grand Canyon in Arizona. However, we decided to add a fun road trip to the mix.

We flew into Vegas, rented a car and drove all the way to Tusayan, Arizona. A small town that is only five minutes away from the Grand Canyon National Park.  We saw a lot of places on the drive including, Boulder City, Hoover Dam, Route 66, and Flagstaff. The Park itself is amazing. Pictures simply don't do justice to the grandness of The Grand Canyon. We did a lot of hiking and wildlife watching as well as star gazing. We were really lucky to see several shooting stars on one of the nights.

It was also my first time to see Navajo art in person. I've always seen the bright colorful patterns in images but it has been something I have wanted to do for a long time. I even purchased a bright color pot that had horse hair applied to it.

Arizona is such a beautiful place and there is still so much I need to see. I can't wait to go back again. Below is a collage I made with items I got from the trip.

(American postcards, Flamingo Hotel room key, Pin Packaging, Navajo Pottery info slip, Route 66 Pin, Grand Canyon Pin, Gallery Art Show Postcard, Route 66 Postcard, Desert View Pin, Map, Nevada Map, Grand Canyon brochure)
